Something arises out of nothing. This is often accepted with hesitation, as if that new something is not really possible. Or if it were, then its creation was in a place (if there was space) and time (if there was time) with little relevance to us, here and now. In any way, whether the big bang or a divine punch started it all, it only took a fraction of a second for everything to be as before.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Perhaps \u201cmaking something out of nothing\u201d is seen as something special because the moment of creation still holds power over us. It is an act for gods exclusively. That is why all kinds of figures around us claim that they can pull off big bang-like magic tricks. Holding the faithful in their orbit.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
There are those who may come close, though they don’t always parade with it. Einstein sent our knowledge of space, time and matter in a new direction. In concrete terms, that direction led us to communication technology and the nuclear bomb. <\/p>\n\n\n\n
As close to the big bang with no gods rolling dice as we’ve got.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
But, critically, even Einstein did not turn beyond the relatively tangible. He described and explained the rules and laws in the universe in which our earth roams. His \u201cknowledge singularity\u201d did not lead to the creation of other universe beyond our terrestrial imagination.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Is everything then there already? If Einstein, equipped with the knowledge of his predecessors, created new insights that were in some sense existent\u2026 would that imply that something then is the same as nothing?
